Project Officer/Project Coordinator job position in National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS)

Project Officer | University Degree in Social/Health Science ( Psychology, Social Work, Education or Early Childhood Development & Education).Desirable Experience & Skills :Extensive field experience (and strong motivation) in directly working with children in the areas of mental health/ education/ welfare; specialized skills working with pre-school children/adolescents/ children in difficult circumstances; Ability to conduct training programs/ awareness sessions for government/NGO staff and community. Ability to gather, collate, analyze information from community/stakeholders, and compile reports and contribute to project development A deep commitment to field/community presence, including willingness to travel within the city. Strong English and Kannada oral and written skills. Dynamic and flexible with the ability to take new initiatives and respond quickly to changing situations and new needs. Willingness to learn new areas of work, especially child and adolescent mental health technical know-how. | 2 | Rs. 22000-30000 |
Project Coordinator | Masters Degree (or higher) in social sciences (Public Health, Psychology, Social Work, Education).Desirable Experience & Skills :Extensive field experience (and strong motivation) in directly working with children/ children’s organization in the areas of mental health/ education/ welfare (preferably over 10 years); Specialized skills working with pre-school children/adolescents/ children in difficult circumstances .A thorough understanding and experience in implementation of community-based participatory programming. Strong skills and experience working with government (and other) systems in program implementation and policy development; ability to represent project in coordination meetings/ academic forums. Strong training/ teaching/ mentorship experience in child-related issues, incl. ability to develop training and learning/ educational materials.Spoken English/ Kannada; strong writing and documentation skills (proof of writing skills to be brought at time of interview).Experience in program development, management and administration, incl. staff capacity development and mentorship.Dynamic and flexible with the ability to take new initiatives and respond quickly to changing situations and new needs. | 1 | Rs. 50000 |
